LISTEN & LEARN TOUR
Colorado Supreme Court Justice Melissa Hart, in her role as an Access to Justice Commissioner, led a virtual listening tour across Colorado from March through October 2021.
In total the Commission hosted 41 virtual meetings seeking input from 519 legal and community stakeholders on the barriers that exist in accessing the civil justice system.
Community stakeholders from a wide range of legal service and community service entities were invited to share the experiences of their constituencies. These include entities such as social agencies, medical clinics, religious organizations, school districts, senior services providers, victim assistance advocates, youth services, housing shelters, local government agencies, and representatives from the courts and the legal community.

The ATJC's objective with the listening tour is to ensure that its work and the work of other advocates across the state is responsive to the individual and ever-changing needs of communities across Colorado.
